Reopening Plan Sept 2021
Hi everyone. I will be reopening my studio in phases. The reason why I am doing it this way is to reduce the chances of spreading covid throughout the studio and also to protect my unvaccinated kid.
Here is the plan:
For ages 12 and up: Starting the last week in September (September 27th) I will be reopening my studio for students and their parents that are vaccinated only (ages 12 and up). I will need to see your vaccine card the first day you come in person. Students and parents not pre-approved will not be allowed to enter the studio. Masks will be required at this point in time.
For ages 5 to 11 (I am thinking November 2021 or slightly later): Once this age group is offered a vaccine and everyone is fully vaccinated I will be reopening my studio to this age group. I will need to see your vaccine card the first day you come in person. When this happens masks may or may not be required at this time. Students and parents not pre-approved will not be allowed to enter the studio.
Age 4: will probably have to wait til January 2022 or later unless a vaccine is offered sooner. I do not teach 3 and under but this age group cannot enter the studio until my daughter is vaccinated. Once this group is vaccinated masks may or may not be required for a time especially if Dane county has a mandate.
For unvaccinated students and families/friends: I will be reopening my studio to all once my 3 year old is fully vaccinated. This is probably going to be January 2022 or spring 2022 (could be sooner depending on vaccines).
In person recitals will return April 30th,2022 at 11am and November 5th, 2022 11am at Oakwood Auditorium. I am thinking holiday performances at the airport will return this year or next. I will probably still do a virtual winter holiday music video recital in December each year.If you are ages 12 and up and want to return in person please let me know September 26th at the latest. Ages 11 and under please stand by for monthly updates. Everyone needs to be ready to switch to virtual lessons in case something happens. I will only contact students if I know of a confirmed positive student that was in the studio. I will not contact people for possible exposures. Anyone entering the studio can assume that there is possible covid 19 risk and I will not be held responsible. If you test positive please contact the studio immediately so I can inform anyone exposed (I will do this probably until all ages are allowed to get fully vaccinated). If my family gets sick and we need to quarantine then I might need students to switch back to virtual lessons up to 14 days.
Thanks for your understanding at this time. Brandy Held Perkins
